  22. somehow programmers was that fascinated by chipset that they didn't deal
  23. with the OS (me too). But now OS games get more common and we all wonder
  24. why we didn't do it before: action gaming under multitasking environment.
  25. running games from hd by just copying the gamedisk(s) to hd.

  27. there are flamings of chipset fanatics with OS fanatics how much can be
  28. done without direkt chipset pokes, and IMHO the truth is that all
  29. todays games can just be done OS-conform (i.e. would also run on
  30. non-chipset-amigas) while the 2d-action games of A500 times would
  31. need to make direct use of copper (but OS legal all the rest).

  33. so while the chipsets specs aren't amazing any more, Amiga keeps
  34. #1 at its qualities: efficient use of hardware, realtimish response,
  35. clean buffered animations, autoconfig etc.
